Parenting Tip #4 Set Expectations for your Children

images-18

It is important to set expectations so your children understand what they need to do. Let them know the night before that Mommy and Daddy are going to be hung over tomorrow morning and that the oldest is going to need to prepare breakfast for the younger children. Also make sure to let the oldest know they need to get to the bus on time because if they miss the bus and the oldest child isn’t old enough to drive Mommy and Daddy are going to be really mad if they miss school.

  1. That Would be Telling

What I find works is an open hand smack across the face, not only does it stun them, it causes a temporary amnesia of sorts where they can’t remember what just happened. This is very good for legal ramifications, obviously. And of course there is the tried and true method of duct tape and the nearest closet. Be careful with this one as duct tape can get expensive.
