Parenting Tip # 6 Invest in Movies

One thing I noticed about educational games is that it requires the parent to be present when the child plays them. The money you spend on that crap could go to something more useful like a TV, DVD player, and some children movies. Nothing keeps them better occupied then being in their room all day and watching a good action packed movie. Of course they might run out of G and PG rated films rather quickly, so it is acceptable to go to the next level PG-13 and in some cases rated R. If the R rated flick is a musical like Tenacious D’s “Pick of Destiny” then you are good to go… Besides what can you teach your child that a funny movie can’t?
