Parenting Tip # 24 No Award or Trophy Will Ever Make You Special

trophy

It is important to point out at any award ceremony that all the kids are getting awards and make sure you ruin your child’s glory by telling them how meaningless this day has been for you. Allow your child to self actualize this tip, tell them something that allows them to connect the dots for themselves, say “Wow how many games did Billy win for the team? and he is getting a trophy? That loser is getting a trophy, I guess trophies are for losers, Let me see your trophy again?” Follow up tip: If you get an award at work make sure you hang it prominently on the refrigerator for everyone to see. For about a week yell in your kids face “Woah! Employee of the month! Special Parking Spot! WHAT!”

No, give every child an award, so that they become…….. meaningless! This way they wonder when they grow up how come they are not successful, as they have all this awards that tell them otherwise. Difference between fact and opinion!

  3. This is probably one of the most entertaining blogs I’ve seen in a while. Care for a link exchange?
